Nonprofit organizations of every size or design, from around the globe, call here daily seeking better solutions and striving to improve upon services to nourish and enrich their mission; each one passionate, enthusiastic, and engaged.
Upon reflection, though, I am awed by the steady stream of individual do-gooders that have a genesis of a philanthropic idea and want to go to work in their spare time. These folks are committed to something and just want to make a doggone difference. They are willing to invest their time, skills, energy and money just to give it all away to others. Awesome!
Yesterday a lady from North Carolina had a real sense of urgency to get a nonprofit venture started. She told me she was already a year behind; she wished she had started a year ago.
Encourage this pursuit of new ideas; the world can’t get enough.
All this reminds me of a quote: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – GandhiWe should all be thankful and optimistic that many happy holiday seasons are in our future.
